50 Cent and Tech N9ne on Pros of Being Indie

50 Cent and Tech N9ne talk the pros and cons of being an inderpendent artist in the music game versus being on a label and having no control of your music.

Now that 50 Cent has left Interscope he and The King of Independent Hip Hop Tech N9ne has team up in a new interview with Brian B Shynin of Kansas City’s Hot 103 Jamz!

During the interview CelebNMusic247.com got the drop of the  perks of being independent and the pitfalls of releasing your music under the major label system according to 50 Cent and Tech N9ne.

50 Cent sums it up best, saying:

The game has changed so dramatically that if you not independent you’re going to find out fast that you need to be.”

50 admits that he has been studying Tech N9ne’s blueprint for quite sometime and how successful Tech has been being independent. He goes on to say how impressed he is with Tech N9ne’s ability to put on the best live show no matter what size venue he performs in.

50 Cent and Tech N9ne Hint to Collab:

On releasing music together, 50 reveals:

“We gotta get together and make something special. I want to make something that stands around.”

In regards to releasing music on a label, 50 Cent illuminates the negative aspects of being under a major label, saying he had no choice sometimes and that he had people picking his singles for him. While Tech N9ne cites that he was able to put out a seven song EP on Halloween just because he wanted to.

“That’s power.”
