There is a report claiming that 4 People Shot At Lil Wayne’s Home in Miami Florida, but police have officially declared this incident a swatting!!
The incident took place at around 8:00AM this morning Miami PD raced to the home on ritzy La Gorce Island … and have set up a perimeter, CelebNMusic247.com has learned via TMZ:
The bizarre report comes 11 days after police raced to the home to check on a report of a suspicious person lurking outside the home. Cops let the guy go because when they arrived he was on public property.
As for today’s incident … we’re told Wayne is in Miami but is not at home.
Police now believe this might be a case of “swatting” … where someone places a prank emergency call in order to prompt a full force response from cops.
In this case it appears to have be a hoax “#LiLWaynes home . #Swatting”
Lil Wayne posted a photo minutes ago from a recording studio. Meanwhile, Miami Beach PD have cleared the perimeter of the home and tweeted they believe “swatting” is a possibility.
The Young Money rapper tweeted:
“Wayne is okay. Wasn’t home during alleged events.”
